About Me
I build and lead the infrastructure teams that keep hospitals, enterprises, and mission-critical systems running.
With 32 years in IT, starting from a DOS manual in the 1980s, through 12 years in the U.S. Navy, and across leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, Accenture, and Oracle, I’ve learned that the technology changes but the fundamentals don’t: understand the system, take care of your people, and solve the actual problem in front of you.
Today I serve as Senior Manager of Data Center and Infrastructure Operations at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Selected to lead the hospital’s newly insourced IT organization, I built a high-performing Tier 3 engineering team spanning eight technical domains and five sites. The CTO recognized the impact early and expanded my scope to include the full System Management portfolio: Active Directory, databases, Office 365, enterprise printing, and Citrix. I also carry indirect oversight of Kyndryl’s Tier 1/2 managed services, and I’m currently leading the hospital’s multi-year Epic hosted infrastructure migration. I bring an enterprise practitioner’s perspective to every leadership decision I make.
Outside the data center, I’m a hands-on technologist. I run my own self-hosted infrastructure with Docker, Traefik, and Cloudflare. Over the last four years I’ve gone deep into AI, building with agent architectures, developing automation workflows, and mentoring people who want to understand what these tools actually do. I help local businesses and professionals adopt AI in practical, grounded ways. The tools change fast, but the discipline stays constant: understand the problem first, then find the right tool. I build, I teach what I learn, and I stay curious.

Professional Experience
Senior Manager, Data Center & Infrastructure Operations
Recruited to lead the hospital's newly insourced IT organization, I stepped into a scope considerably broader than the original brief and owned all of it. I built a high-performing Tier 3 engineering team spanning eight technical domains and five sites, while also running the full System Management portfolio: Active Directory, SQL Server and Oracle databases, Office 365, enterprise print management (PaperCut/LRS), and Citrix, with indirect oversight of Kyndryl's Tier 1/2 managed services. Today I'm leading the hospital's multi-year Epic hosted infrastructure migration, a strategic initiative running through 2027.
Senior Data Center Manager
I joined Oracle to lead data center operations for Children's National Hospital under the Cerner contract. Within four months, the hospital recruited me directly, a fast validation of fit with the mission and the team. I made the move in-house and have been building the organization ever since.
Senior Business & Technology Delivery Manager
For nine years I led virtualization and global data center operations supporting more than 800,000 users across 17 data centers worldwide, with direct budget authority exceeding $10M. I drove a major consolidation onto VMware Cloud Foundation, decommissioning seven data centers while maintaining consistent, high-availability performance throughout the transition.
Windows Engineering Team Lead
I led Windows engineering operations across large, high-security classified data centers in support of mission-critical programs. The work sharpened my expertise in secure enterprise infrastructure at scale, where precision and process discipline are non-negotiable.
